head-butted by a butterfly?

seems a bit far-fetched to me!

unless you've gone soft in the head I'm sure the flutterby came off worse.

is it still summer, officially?

Hi ya hyde dp a.k.a. Gerald! ;-)

Weirdly true, I seem to have these encounters. It was Bristol after all!

Walking up Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol, and a strangely summers day in Summer, and this butterfly banged right into me forehead your honour, honest guv'nor! ;-)

It was a hot day, and I think we were both taken by surprise. Like the rabbit, the butterfly had to fly, and declined my offer of a lovely soya latté to take away for his troubles.

It's still summer in New Orleans. I will trade you a few degrees of heat for some cool weather.

I don't think I've seen any butterflies this year.

I have seen lots of little snails though.

LOL! When I first read your haiku I saw a butterfly butting you somewhere with its head! And that was definitely a very strange mental image.

I've had close and wonderful encounters with butterflies, too. Both in the waking and dreaming world.

Love the illustration.

Thanks for the comments.

Fortunately I've never been butted by a snail yet, but there is still time. ;-)

Thanks roswila for liking the illustration too! ;-)
